Quote o' the Day
From an Economist retrospective on Einstein's accomplishments:
[Einstein] was not a particularly adroit experimenter or mathematician. His power lay in thinking more clearly about the physical consequences of experimental results than any of his contemporaries, or, indeed, than anyone since.
In my words, Eistein's greatness was attributable to his ability to think in the box and out of the box; he logically and creatively combined and interpreted facts to arrive, when necessary, outside the bounds of contemporary scientific thought. Remember, kids, creativity doesn't have to be about drawing pictures of unicorns and science isn't always about following the rules. To really get somewhere in life you need to discern the correct time to follow the rules and the time to make something new.
